Cimone Williams is the proud Owner & Artistic Director of Movement of Elegance! Her dance journey began at the age of five with a ballet and tap combo class and quickly evolved to competitive dance by age seven. Over the years, she trained in a wide variety of styles including acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, and tap. She has also had the privilege of performing in productions such as Jacksonville’s First Coast Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.

After graduating high school at sixteen, she discovered hot yoga as a way to maintain flexibility, strength, and technique. The practice soon became an essential part of her life, helping her cultivate balance, mindfulness, and purpose through movement.

While continuing her college education, Cimone was apart of Tremaine Performance Company and participated in film projects with Unveiled Productions (Voice of God, The Battle Within), as well as other commercial dance work across Central Florida. Her passion for connecting the mind and body, along with creating art through movement, inspired her to establish Movement of Elegance; a space dedicated to creative movement with purpose through mindfulness in alignment.

Throughout her undergraduate years, she taught various dance styles around North and Central Florida guided yoga practices at Stetson University as a student instructor/employee, and taught at Hot Yoga Lounge in Palm Coast.

Cimone excited to share a different perspective of dance and mindfulness within ourselves. She strives to create a nurturing space where dancers can express themselves freely and discover their own elegance through movement while continuously challenging their best selves.

Megan Smith

Dance Instructor

Originally from Charles Town, West Virginia Megan has trained at several studios throughout her youth, performing in numerous productions of The Nutcracker and annual spring recitals.

In high school, Megan was an active member of her dance team, participating in multiple festivals and competitions. During her sophomore year, she was honored to be selected for the Governor’s School of the Arts summer program. As a senior, she received a dance scholarship to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where she trained extensively in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and more.

Throughout her four years at Winthrop, Megan choreographed for junior and senior showcases and performed at both regional and national dance festivals. She was also a proud member of the Winthrop Rockettes, performing throughout the community during the holiday season, and was awarded Rockette of the Year her senior year. In addition, she spent three years as a member of the Winthrop University Dance Team.

Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in Health. Since then, she has continued to share her love of dance through teaching and choreography. She is passionate about the art form and is dedicated to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of dancers.

Kara Shoemaker

Kara began dancing at the age of two in Ronkonkoma, New York, where she trained at Roseland School of Dance. Her early years included a variety of styles such as jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary. At the age of twelve, Kara relocated with her family to Florida, where dance continued until her freshman year of high school, then took a leap into cheerleading at her local High School.

During her freshman year at Flagler Palm Coast High School, Kara expanded her background transitioning into cheerleading, gaining valuable experience over two years. She then returned to her true passion, dance! Continuing her training at Flagler School of Dance, where she practiced hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and performed as a member of the competition team. Dance has always remained at the heart of Kara’s life.

Outside of the studio, Kara works full-time and is a proud puppy mom. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and making memories with family and friends.

London began her dance journey in toddler tap and ballet classes, where her love for movement, dress-up, and sneaking in a stomp or two; first began. Proudly Latin American and fluent in both Spanish and English, she brings warmth, energy, and creativity into everything she does. London dedicates her time to various extracurricular activities, including competing as a volleyball player for Christian Calvary Academy and a secondary travel team.

When she’s not assisting the Performance Team or keeping Ms. Cimone on her toes, she enjoys lending a helping hand and being a dependable influence among others!
